The Finnish Cultural Foundation and Lasse Pihlajamaa Fund have supported my doctoral research at the University of Toronto with a one-year work grant. I am extremely grateful and honoured to receive this support, bearing the name of one of the most important pioneers and supporters of accordion playing in Finland and the world.
This major grant enables me to conclude my degree of Doctor of Musical Arts and my dissertation researching shared creativity in collaborations between accordionists and composers.
